I side with Rush on this - those who use a single litmus-test issue to discount a potential candidate like Walker might as well be paid up DNC members when it comes to putting enemies in the WH. Flame away.

end of story.

"The Law of Nations" (1758) by Emerich de Vattel. (As a legal source "Law of Nations" is mentioned in Article I, Section 8, #10 of the Constitution in respect to the authority of the US Congress to enforce the law of nations, in particular - against piracies and felonies on high seas).

According to Chapter 19, §212 of "Law of Nations", "The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in the country of parents who are citizens". The concept "Natural born citizen" is a twofold criterion meaning that:

Both parents must be the citizens of, and the birth must take place in the concerned country, assuming that the citizenship inherited by this child and the loyalty are never changed ever after.

Sorry if I'm tiring you.

That's why there are no pictures of Walker with Lee, Cruz, Palin, Sessions or even Rick Perry. Walker isn't a team player and co-strategist for repealing, rolling back the disastrous damage the RATS have done to our Republic. He just wants to stride into the WH and continue the status quo of Romney, Bush, the establishment in general. Nothing enrages him as our Republic hangs by a thread. He's just a wonk happiest in the company of other wonks.

Good grief.

I haven’t been on this thread much but I do know one thing. Conservatives are trying to tell you not to pick Walker because they won’t vote for him.

That’s it. The ball is in your court.

Yuk, thanks for the pic Haha

For me it is anti-establishment only.

After what the republicans did in Mississippi and with Boehner, I am done with anything that even smells a little establishment. I really wish people would understand how mad so many of us truly are, and that is not going to just go away. Actually, it’s more than mad, I am embarrassed I fell for it before, but I won’t make that mistake again.

This mad dash is to get the dems and indies that voted for Rs in November to commit to Walker now before he’s properly vetted. He’s taking Rubio to seal up the Latino vote. That with half of registered Republicans, the WH is his.

The True UNIPARTY candidate.

Once you do your best to get the most conservative candidate on the ticket, if you refuse to vote for what ends up there, you get another Obama in the WH - the ball gets taken away and the field gets so tilted that nobody near the Right can get any traction to stay on the court.

Give the court up and whine about how you didn't get your way - do a little foot stamp too while you're at it.

These so-called conservatives are whittling the field down so fast that by the time anyone throws their hat in the ring for keeps, we won't have but one long-shot chance at a ticket. Show me a case where declaring that one won' t vote for anyone but the most impeccable conservative has given us the first choice when the final ticket came out. Einstein said that to keep doing the same thing and expecting different results was the definition of insanity. Us "conservatives" have been proving him right the last few elections.

Or mathematically put, the electorate is 35% Rat, 30% Indie and 35% Republican. If he gets 5% RAT, 20% Indie and 30% Republican, that’s 55%, he’s IN.

Hence his recent move to the left with gay marriage, right-to-work, no aggressive defense policy, and squish on Amnesty.

We’re jaded. You got to be against amnesty and “pathway to citizenship” BS.. Step one.

You write this to me

. Einstein said that to keep doing the same thing and expecting different results was the definition of insanity. Us “conservatives” have been proving him right the last few elections.

And then this

Give the court up and whine about how you didn’t get your way - do a little foot stamp too while you’re at it.

I guess you are right, insulting potential voters usually gets my vote./s Gee you sound just like a Romney supporter, and before that a McCain supporter. Now, who is it doing the same thing again?

Fine and good.

Is "The Law of Nations" cited as a source in Article 2, Section 1 of the Constitution with respect to the "natural born" clause?

No. It is not.

Nor has any court -- or Congress -- endeavored to apply it to that definition?

No, they have not.

End of story.

I believe that is what is being counted on, but that didn’t pan out for Romney or McCain. Frankly, if it’s not a true game changer, I don’t care. We are going down the road to socialism no matter what.

I do not see the divide. Some folks might not agree with Walker, but he is a very capable politician. Winning three elections under fire in a four year period is impressive. The guy knows how to win.

Abraham Lincoln only served 2 years in the House yet he went on to lead our country through a terrible Civil War and kept the union together.

There have been good & bad from all different places. Whether they have been a senator, a congressman or a governor really isn’t a good litmus test on it’s own. You have to look at many more things. Their policies, voting records, past statements, integrity and morality. Leadership can come from all different walks of life.

We should have learned from the past that polls mean nothing. Especially polls this early in the game. In fact, Walker’s early and fast rise to the top may hurt him rather than help him. It’s better at this point to wait and watch. Listen to what they say, watch what they do and study and compare.

I think most of us here agree that Bush is a non-starter for us. Walker has not at this point detailed and clarified his policies enough for us to determine what he really thinks. So far all we have are a handful of past statements about immigration from Walker that give many of us pause and worry. In time, this will sort itself out.

Who did Walker say he was going to deport? Those with a criminal record? Those that commit crimes? Those who have overstayed their VISAs or work permits? Those that came here to attend school and never left? Anyone who broke our laws and came here illegally? Those who were born here but their parents came here illegally?

Walker also said he wasn’t for amnesty. How does he define amnesty? Is he going to make illegals go back home and come back again legally? Is he going to make them pay a fine or tax? Does he believe in a pathway to citizenship?

When a candidate states they are not for amnesty it means nothing unless they tell you what their definition of amnesty means. If they say they are for border security it means nothing unless they tell you what “secure borders” means to them. When they tell you they are for deportation, it means nothing unless they tell you who they plan to deport.

Walker is a good man and he has been a great gov. However he didn’t get where he is without also being a good politician. He knows what not to say and how to say it. They all do.
