On one hand, I've heard it claimed that though a diplomatic back channel, we warned the Saudi money men that this is exactly what would happen if there ever was another incident on the scale of 9-11.
On the other hand, I heard that ISIS is of such an even more whack-job brand of Islam that they consider the Kabbah an idol which should be destroyed.

Yes, mixed feelings here, too. Switching from on-one-hand to the other it always comes back to the thought that we are only nipping at the heels and ankles of the problem, but not aiming for the head of the problem.
The other thought regards why we are arming any side - in any country - in this issue. Once our bullets finish off one side we will need more bullets to protect ourselves from the winning side :-)
