The reason they do that is in the vast majority of cases, the organs begin to fail and liquefy. Brains are strange things. My mother was living in 1935 but she knew nothing about 1935. My granddaughter has asthma and I fear this delaying will cause this type of problem.

That’s why I never agree to donate organs. Not that anyone would want my 69 year old stuff...

This is true;

When my lawyer was doing my last will, the question about organ donation came up. I told him I would donate my brain, but only for transplant. However the recipient had to be male, white, good looking and under 40 years old. I figured this was a win - win. I’d get a new body and the recipient would get an excellent educated brain...

Yep, yep, yep. It’s all about the benjamins. Always. Healthy organs=$$$$$.

Brain death as a diagnosis only came about for the purpose of harvesting organs. Heart failure meant that other organs also failed. But with brain “death”, voila! Moolah for healthy organs!
