We had some of these issues with my brother 2 1/2 years ago. But he was 68 and had been in poor health for 10 years. Pretty much once he was on a vent, he just couldn’t get strong enough for a trach and eventually they had to let him go.
There should be a criminal investigation and charges by the new AG or whoever has authority to do so.

When my lawyer was doing my last will, the question about organ donation came up. I told him I would donate my brain, but only for transplant. However the recipient had to be male, white, good looking and under 40 years old. I figured this was a win - win. I’d get a new body and the recipient would get an excellent educated brain...

They are eyeball crazy. It’s all about organ donation and if there’s not much to save, they are seriously gonna go for the eyeballs. Cretins.

I would have been tempted to tell the hospital staff that he had been exposed to Hep C. Then maybe they would have been more interested in helping him live, seeing as how his organs were now not viable for transplant.
She is still on support BUT her organs did NOT liquify AND she started her menses which a “brain dead” patient will not do. I believe that she has shown small movement. The family did an update a couple months ago.

Obamacare has money for “studies” (from the architect himself, GRUBER) to determine whether a procedure has a “good” outcome. (from their “stats” of course) If the outcome is not rated good, insurance will NOT pay. Then you are on your own, but Obamacare has a solution for that. Hospitals may be forced NOT to do procedures if not “warranted by the study panels, because they accept Medicare and Obamacare.
I unfortunately had extensive, horrifying experience with the “organ industry” and it’s illegal part-stealing underbelly which STILL goes on today.

Brain death as a diagnosis only came about for the purpose of harvesting organs. Heart failure meant that other organs also failed. But with brain “death”, voila! Moolah for healthy organs!
The hospital people seem as uninformed as the politicians and the voters. That’s the USA!
Organ-donation designation on the driver’s license in 1964 seemed like a no-brainer. Now we know it is a license for organ $$ fraud.
This is standard practice in Europe and will be in the USA if not already because of so many liberals in charge of lower-level as well as upper-level decision making.
Absolutely. They were ready to harvest the kid's organs. They don't want organs from a 50 y.o., they want young organs.
The transplant team must be very disappointed. And I'm sure potential recipients are too.
