Good grief. About a year ago on a different forum, I referred to a spy as a “spook”. A member of the forum went ballistic, but the other members suggested he was out of line.

About a year ago on a different forum, I referred to a spy as a “spook”.In Harry Turtledove's novel fantasy THE TOXIC SPELL DUMP, CIA agents really are "spooks." Even if you're not a regular reader of fantasy, I think you might enjoy this book. It's full of delightful puns.
