Looks like a fast boat, perhaps with a reinforced hull at the bow for ice breaking.
They have learned, through prior experience, that leaving the chopper exposed on the deck like that exposes it to damage in the rough Antarctic seas. Also renders it fairly useless on short notice as it becomes encrusted with ice.
I predict the female crew members will once again smell like hamsters.
and not one will ever end up pregnant.
