Exclusive: Hillary Clinton may delay campaign (President Seahag!)

Hillary Clinton, expecting no major challenge for the Democratic nomination, is strongly considering delaying the formal launch of her presidential campaign until July, three months later than originally planned, top Democrats tell POLITICO.

The delay from the original April target would give her more time to develop her message, policy and organization, without the chaos and spotlight of a public campaign. A Democrat familiar with Clinton’s thinking said: “She doesn’t feel under any pressure, and they see no primary challenge on the horizon. If you have the luxury of time, you take it.”

Advisers said the biggest reason for the delay is simple: She feels no rush.

“She doesn’t want to feel pressured by the press to do something before she’s ready,” one adviser said. “She’s better off as a noncandidate. Why not wait?”

A huge advantage to waiting would be that Clinton postpones the time when she goes before the public as a politician rather than as a former secretary of state. Polling by both Democrats and Republicans shows that one of her biggest vulnerabilities is looking political.

Yes and behind the scenes I think the party wants to go with Warren or Webb or Sanders. The young kids love Warren and Sanders.

Yes. People forget that Dems thought Bill Clinton was a moderate and Hillary’s got no other identity. The Dems are even farther left now.

I have a theory: I think she's trying to get as much money as possible before it becomes clear she can't win the rat nomination. It will be her slush fund for the rest of her life.

BINGO!!!

So, save money and resources (she has name recognition) while she lets (or pays) someone to get in early and begin the internal cat-fight to tarnish all candidates, and then come "save the party" with "brinkmanship and gravitas"

Saw it here first.

Do it Hiltery. Hopefully some upstart Rat can gather enough support so that you lose the nomination. Just like when Obama beat you in ‘08.

You are wrong on the issues like your “husband,” but you have none of his charisma. Lose Hitlery, lose.

It’ll delay by three months the time it takes the public to tire of her. She just doesn’t “wear well.”

If the ‘wear’ time is six months, that brings her to January, just before Iowa. A knight in shining Dem armor (from MA, possibly?) might come along to save the party.

Close- Hillary doesn't need to announce and burn primary campaign contributions. Right now she and her aids are being financed by the Clinton foundation via fat cats. She is going to do as much as possible of (unlimited) donations to the foundation then announce. Then the same fat cats can donate to the legal limit during the primary season then for the national presidential campaign. Since she has no opposition and is being financed by the foundation, she will have tons of surplus from the primary season to carry over in the the presidential campaign.
