House Republicans will kick off February with a vote to repeal Obamacare, providing new members the chance to put their opposition on the record as the party chips away at the overhaul and devises some reforms of its own.
We will begin the month renewing our commitment to individual freedom and opportunity, House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy of California said Thursday in a memo previewing next weeks votes.
The vote will also force Democrats in the minority to reassert their support for Obamacare or break with the White House.

A better idea than forcing Rats to take a stand ... make all Congress critters enroll in the fiasco ... they'll kill it by a 535 to 0 vote within days!
Defund, defund, defund.
Is it real, or more Kongressional Kabuki?
Yes.
Or full repeal.
Or repeal of all exemptions, with executive waivers punishable by loss of pension and retirement benefits for all federal employees instituting, upholding, or otherwise honoring such waivers.
Sh*tcan the whole corrupt system, NOW.
Do it the same way it was originally passed in the dark of night behind closed doors, meaning no demodummies get to vote.
Great idea. Let them do something concrete instead of playing those gottcha political games.
What do you think?
I thought Drunkin Boner already funded it. Did he fund it, in order to repeal it?
Avoid the coming Civil War and defund the entire US government except the military. It will be much less bloody and will result in the same outcome.
When the bill is presented, just tell the Congress that they have to pass it to find out what’s in it.
Most people have no idea that congress is exempt from obamacare.
If that info was widely disseminated, the law would be abolished. But the media refuses to report the facts. They only push the party line, pure propaganda, nothing more.
Both.
It establishes which democrats still support this junk, which will make it harder for their re-election efforts.
There is no way Obama will sign this.
Woo-hoo!!!!
The latter. The first thing the GOP-e did after the election was to pass funding for everything for a year to prevent any attempt to defund anything. Because you know, then Obama could shut down the government and they live in perpetual fear of that. Because of course it hurt them so badly in the last election.
Since House RINOs have read the Constitution out loud at the starts of the last three new legislative sessions, why dont they simply point out the fact that the states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate, tax and spend for intrastate healthcare purposes?
Also, consider that the Senate possibly wouldnt have passed unconstitutional Obamacare in the first place if state lawmakers hadnt foolishly ratified the 17th Amendment, unthinkingly giving up the voices of state lawmakers in Congress.
There is no way Obama will sign this.

Are there not enough votes for a veto-proof majority?
You know, I don't think it hurt them -- sure there was bitching and moaning and sensationalism from the MSM, but that's old news.
But you're absolutely right to point out the funding: it was my proof that the Republican party had no intention to work against the current policies, as confirmed by the new congress's retention of John Boehner.
Clearly not. Just a bit of sarcasm on my part. But they are sooo afraid of losing their turn at handing out the goodies. For Boehner and co. it's just about being in charge, not whether they actually accomplish anything.
If I were younger, I'd convert to Islambut only on Federal paperwork!
