Health officials in Arizona, host state of Sunday's Super Bowl, have asked people who may have been exposed to measles to isolate themselves

...

Seven cases have been confirmed and 1,000 people across three counties may have been exposed .. Two of the seven confirmed cases are in Maricopa County, which is hosting the NFL championship game, the county's health department confirmed Tuesday.

Because the highly contagious virus can linger in the air for two hours, health officials have asked those who may have been exposed to avoid doctors' offices, emergency rooms or urgent-care centers

Some of the people infected from Disney have been vaccinated, and there are other reports of vaccinated getting the disease.

I’m asking about facts. Who has the measles?

If the media and big government refuse to say, it’s probably illegal aliens.

Are the Muslim communities infected? Do they believe in vaccinations?

I don’t know any facts.

It’s probably from the Disneyland outbreak. There’s been a big anti-vax movement in this country lately, sewing the seeds for numerous potential outbreaks.

I don’t know all of the facts either. I do not doubt that there are illegals from the lowest classes of Mexico bringing it in. I live in San Diego and I know people in Tijuana. The Mexicans that I know all get vaccinations for their children. Vaccinations are cheap and affordable there. I also know that some native born Americans are not vaccinating their children due to belief that vaccinations cause autism. I agree that the facts are being withheld from us. As for me, I have all of my vaccinations and I am not going to get measles, shingles, tetanus, etc.etc.

More proof that the USA has lost it’s direction.

Yes and yes.

This is proof some people have more money than sense.

I would think someone with $35K for a single game would have enough juice to get comped...

The important thing is to make sure this is the “normal” measles, not some mutated variant for which immunity is uncertain.

Also important is that measles can be deadly for those with AIDS, and since there hasn’t been a major upswing in fatal adult measles, it likely has normal communicability.

The infection occurs in sequential stages over a period of two to three weeks. Measles signs and symptoms typically appear 10 to 14 days (can be from 7 to 18 days) after exposure to the virus. Two to four days after symptoms appear is when the rash first appears.

A person with measles can spread the virus to others for about eight days, starting four days before the rash appears and ending when the rash has been present for four days.

I was born in 1932---vaccines were years away. The measles came, the measles went, and there was very little talk about it. .

It may be problematic to watch the game live at the Super Bowl stadium in your underwear.
