So are the Republicans and so are the conservatives so long as they retain their attachment to the Republicans.

Been saying this for a few years now - most are not listening or are just simply of the wrong opinion about a new party. The GOP is going the way of the Whigs now that they have been given a landslide mandate and refuse to implement it by taking both impeachment and the power of the purse out of their quiver of weapons. They refuse to impeach or defund illegal alien activity and Obamacare - the very items we sent their majorities to the District of Corruption to enact. Conservatives have tried long enough to take the GOP back out of the hands of the elites and it apparently cannot be done under current corruption standards. That only leaves Artilce V or a new party.

So wave your magic wand and revive Christianity in the Republic. A Convention is something that can be done. I am not optimistic about its chances of success. I am not even sure that the Sultan would allow it to proceed. We are past the point where what is illegal or unConstitutional or untraditional is any bar to the actions of the Executive. What the Sultan thinks he can get away with is the only stricture. Republicans are telling him he can get away with just about anything he wants to do. Really it is up to the middle class forcibly changing things in a manner it is not appropriate to describe. But the middle class clings desperately to the shreds of middleclassness as it slips away and cannot bring itself to reach for the tools it has so assiduously collected.

A lot of the "middle class" has signed up with bread and circus. I am talking about Reagan Democrats having ditched their Christianity a decade or two ago and replaced it with the religion of Big Government. Nothing good can come out of a convention of fundamentally immoral. No political bandaid can cover up the wounds of moral decay. An immooral people cannot create a lasting moral political system.

My suggestion is to wait for the collapse and recreate civilization from the rubble. The first sign that would be possible is the total destruction of the media (cable, over-the-air, etc).

Useless to us might not be so bad. The problem is that he's dangerous to us.
