I would add a third possibility: She has undergone some plastic surgery or botox so she can hide her age better.
I believe they are just trying to keep her away from the news because it is obvious she doesn’t have a clue. At this point what does matter anyway?
The people who will vote for her won’t change their minds and the rest might if she puts her foot in her mouth again.
