Just about every computer/software company has top CEOs that donate to the Democratic Candidates, by an overwhelming margin. Microsoft, Dell, you name it. However, the people who buy such computers don’t have to go that route, and can donate to wherever they please.
I am pretty sure that responsibilities were delegated with regards to product design (????), financial management (Cook) etc. That being the case, the Product Design people might just be a bit more relatable, and just might be the backbone you need to be concerned about in terms of what’s keeping Apple going. But my best guess is that Steve Jobs got to know whomever he chose to design the products pretty well, because even before and after he died, some interesting looking products have come out besides the iphone. Political Correctness is all over the computer/software industry, get to know guys at Microsoft and other companies, and the picture wouldn’t be very bright...
I’ve understood that there was a solid ten year pipeline of product guided by clear strategy in place when Steve Jobs died. He’d been ill for years. Succession planning would have been on his mind, perfectionist that he was. Jonathan Ive is head of design.
You may be right, Morpheus 2009.
Cheers, FR buddy.
