Ukraine’s flagship defence industrial concern, Zorya Mashproekt (ZP), needs to find new foreign markets as only two-thirds of the company’s production capacity is being used following the imposition of an export ban on military sales to Russia, said Ukroboronprom Director General, Roman Romanov on 29 July.
Romanov’s comments came during the announcement of Konstantin Kartoshkin as Zorya - Mashproekt’s new Director General.
“Our new task is to rebalance production processes with a view to cutting cooperation with Russia,” Romanov said. “This is a world-renowned company, but capacity is running only at 65%. It means that the state budget will not have lots of foreign currency.”
