My suspicion is that Bergdahl is certifiably crazy and no one at any level wants to imprison a crazy guy or deal with an insanity defense. I think the fact that he hasn’t been seen in public shows this. Dude’s in a rubber room.

You may be right. At this point in the debacle I think they should just dishonorably discharge the guy and move on.
