Jesus said: "Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's and unto God the things that are God's". Pope Francis supporting people entering a country illegally is in the realm of "Caesar" not God.
It makes me uncomfortable when Pope Francis blurs the line between Church and State.

I hope you are right. Maybe he will walk the statement back in some way. But what about its effect on everyone before that happens? Most people are taking it as sincere, to judge from this thread. And many people hear Part 1 but not the rebuttal or the retraction.

Please just stay home Francis, don’t encourage this. Perhaps we should start shipping them to the Vatican. So many countries seem to be ok with illegals coming here to live off of us but I bet they wouldn’t stand for it if it were their country being invaded. This has nothing to do with him or Catholicism.
