This story pisses me off. I was born in the PI and came here because my father served in the US Navy for decades. Usually Filipinos are extremely law abiding. I know people who are married to Filipinos and do not have a green card or a work permit and will not work, because it is against the law and they would be committing fraud. The Filipino community has been known to rat out those that are here illegally. We have very strong morals and those who have come here are deeply appreciative and indebted to America.
I am deeply ashamed of the actions of these people.
