What if a Muslim father kills his daughter because she converted to Christianity on the basis of his own culture, will this judge still find his appeal to cultural differences valid?

Yes, there’s this pesky thing called basic respect for others. I saw it over and over, particularly with foreigners I worked with. There was often very little regard for “rules”. In labs, “rules” ie. protocols, are extremely important to smooth running of things, as well as achieving accurate results.

The reason the universities take them by the truckload is because their governments pay full fare for them, and the creepy professors abuse them with overwork. It's win-win for the universities and the profs.
The US citizen gets screwed because these people don't go away after they are educated.

That was the deal even back then. We always thought that guy, in particular, was a spy. He was so secretive. I was warned by my boss and several others, not to discuss work with him. We rarely spoke other than when he wanted to use the equipment in my lab. He was there because of TPTB; no one trusted him.
