All I know is that if I worked for the Weather Channel, I’d be in hiding this morning. What an embarrassment.

I recall in the early 80s Oklahoma City was hit by ‘white out’ conditions. I worked in Tulsa. Tulsa city officials and many company administrations (including the one where I worked) panicked and started sending people home.

I lived 3 blocks from where I worked, so I stayed at work for several hours to avoid the massive traffic.

Tulsa got almost nothing but some cold weather — which was typical for ‘winter’. There were a few small snowflakes drifting around.

Of course, the next day all those public and private officials were claiming they would rather have been safe than sorry.

Online weather predicted 2 to 3 feet for my friend in Westfield NJ. They got 4 inches.
