Ok, you can lure unsuspecting people to a rendezvous. You can overpower and kill them, taking all their belongings. What then? Do you think their cell phone can't be traced? Or who they made calls to can't be investigated? Then, when the experienced investigators show up to question you, do you actually think you can brazen it out? Do you think you left no evidence?
I ask again, how did he think he could get away with this?
He probably thought the burner phone couldn’t be traced to him, however, he paid for it with a credit card, now he’s caught.
Because they do most of the time. The murder closure rate in this country is unfortunately low. Especially when it’s stranger murder, a little bit of care in covering one’s tracks is generally all it takes.
“I ask again, how did he think he could get away with this?”
because they’re stupider than dirt, that’s how. I’ve got a good cop buddy who said it was very fortunate that the average criminal was so stupid, because the cops would be in real trouble otherwise. Just watch a few episodes of “48 Hours” and you’ll see just how stupid these murderous fools are. It’s also unbelievably hilarious to see just how easily these idiots are tricked into confessing after they are caught (usually because the crime they committed was caught on some stray security camera).
It wasn't that he "thought" he could get away with it. That would have required "thinking."
Meth. It's a helluva drug.
