So is this an Edwin Edwards case of, “It was illegal for them to bribe me, not for me to accept it”?
Not bribery: illegal campaign contributions.
Ironic to see Dimocrats, the authors of campaign finance limits, hoist on their own petards, but still: Why again are there limits on campaign contributions, when it has previously been held that contributing to a political campaign is protected free speech?
I mean, either we’re for free speech, or we’re not. Are we no better than the Dims?
