I was referring to the storm last Thanksgiving. We lost power at my house for three days.

In New Orleans the media reported that they were having to resort to cannibalism by the third day, I hope it wasn't as bad at your house.

No, It was pretty rough. On the second day we lost CABLE and Internet. Plus, the cell service at my house is kind of sketchy. WE HAD TO READ BOOKS. Oh the HORROR.

IF you are a young couple with no kids, no pets and you lose power, you go to a hotel in the city and hang out. Party down, screw like rabbits, order room service.

If you are a home owner out in the country with a bunch of animals to take care of you need to have a generator. If you have propane heat, you install a propane generator. They turn themselves on once a week and click on within 30 seconds in the event of a loss of power. That way you are not running to the gas station everyday like me. I can run everything in the house except the clothes dryer and the electric oven.
