By the way she rationalizes one night stands and a bunch of kids from different men, it sounds like you’re right. I’ve been poor and technically homeless, and I can tell you that I’ve been surrounded by people making horrible choices and I realize that it’s mainly about choice, not circumstances.

You would not have been homeless if you lived near me. : ) I pick the good ones just passing through a tough time but on a track to rise up. Never been wrong, yet.

Excellent points and all of them are well founded.

I do know that she doesn’t seem to understand that the ‘rich’ are not spending 24/7 watching television and enjoying free time and living like French aristocrats. They’re out hustling and I do believe she forgets that in some ways, it’s stressful to delay gratification, what would seem like a moment of relief and enjoyment.

i think if anything it shows people on the lower end of the spectrum can over-generalize other folks just as esily as the rich can over-generalize about the poor. the caveat is we qualify the generalization as a generalization and not indicative of every rich or poor person, as a certain percentage of exceptions exist. genrealizations are generally accurate if based in truth, but that’s all they are and examples that are exceptions always exist , to one degree or another.

Just think about God’s delayed gratification waiting for the proper time to fix all this. Talk about patience. He could’just deal with everything quickly and perfectly just, but He is waiting and working things so that the maximum number of people’will be’with Him forever.
