I suspect McCain isn’t doing what Reid wants him to do so the Shock Troops have been called in.

Outspoken?????? Gimme a break - the only people McCain has ever been 'outspoken' toward are fellow Republicans. Can anyone give me a few quotes where he's been 'outspoken' against Obama? Or Pelosi? Or Harry Reid?

I even spoke with former Arizona Senate leader Russel Pearce. He's very much for COS while the current Senate leader (Andrew Biggs) is against it. Pearce mentioned the two "go round and round" on that subject all the time.
I don’t know about the right winger business. I think the majority of the actual committee members were against him. A lot of people that wouldn’t have minded hearing what McCain had to say were pissed off at the deceit used. We voted for the new board. Graham adjourned the meeting for lunch and then after most of the Committeemen had left, called it back to order to introduce McCain. McCain was not on the program. I venture to say only the board and the Vietnamese knew he was coming. I guess they thought the supporters would drown out the rest of us.If they had held the vote after, it would have been much different.

I’m all for closed Republican primaries EVERYWHERE. Open primaries are one of the tools that the GOPe (and, let’s be honest, the ‘RATS also) uses to help ensure that RINOs are nominated.
There could be two small countries in some obscure place that no one has ever heard of shooting at each other, and McCain will FIND a reason to get US Troops involved.
We should get his old ass a uniform, put some Depends in his pack, and have him parachute in with the first wave of any conflict we sent troops in to.
Why in the hell does anyone pay attention to him? Why in GOD’S NAME do the people of AZ keep sending him to DC? He’s an irrelevant joke!
