They were attacked. Nothing written there about defensive military actions.

The world is not doomed. I believe what is happening is that we're seeing the extended tension of a rubber band, right before I snaps back! The lull before the crash of the storm.

The way I see it is that we are in the process of learning certain significant questions. For example, that one cannot negotiate with them. They are not rational beings. Democracy is not an option. They have no qualms harming children, the most vulnerable. They have been teaching us incessantly that the only solution is a clear win, that a hammer and anvil approach will work over the white dove and olive branch.

Those are important lessons, and the world's collective psyche has been saturated, nay ...inundated ...with those lessons.

All that is now left is a catalyst. Some trigger event whereby the jihadis will simply go a step too far. They killed over a dozen people in France - result: people held hands on the streets. They murdered over two thousand in Nigeria - result: no cogent response. They murdered dozens in a mall in my home country - result: a number of radical imams gunned down. They brought down buildings in New York - result: a global military campaign that has significantly hit the jihadi network.

However, no total war yet. No unrelenting uncompromising military juggernaut that rends and rips with abandon. Why? Because the jihadis have not - yet - instituted that trigger event I mentioned that will serve not only as a catalyst, but as the key that forever shuts off the clarion call of inanity that is Political Correctness.

Soon the jihadis will go too far, and the rubber band will snap.

And that snap will be deafening!

The world is not doomed, although the world of the jihadis has the proverbial sword of Damocles hanging over its head, and that string is looming mighty frayed .....

I was thinking the same. That ought to be an interesting experience for the ISIS guys when the Yakuza starts chopping off body parts while the others watch.

The Crusader’s learned enough about them. What was left to learn after the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and then 9/11 and every beheading since then?

Only one lesson. The lesson that political correctness is a waste of time. That is the only lesson left, and it will come when the Jihadis do something that even the most lily livered Leftie cannot ignore. Sooner or later they will pull a Boko Haram in an area that cannot be ignored, and the last vestiges of political correctness will fade into the night. That will be the trigger.

"I am simply left speechless.”

There's your problem, right there.
