This was a transparently bigoted, anti-semitic statement from Obama, essentially claiming that the reason Senator Menendez disagrees with his Iran policy is because of those rich Joos. Anyone who doesn't realize at this point that Obama views Jews the same way that Jesse Jackson and Reverend Jeremiah Wright do simply hasn't been paying attention.

The fact is, millions and millions of Americans don't want Iran to become a nuclear power for America AND Israel's sake...

“Obama said that as a former senator himself”

OK...

Melendez may just have as many skeletons in his closet than Obama. This could be interesting to see who blinks first.

Obama said that as a former senator himself, he understood how outside forces — like special interests and donors — can influence senators to act, one of the senators recounted.

Ha haaaa!!! As if he's not a puppet of big money special interest groups.

I wonder if Barack Obola and Tom Brady were separated at birth. Such bald faced liars. No sense of shame.

having no moral compass himself, and being a truly cynical political animal, Obama can understand motive if it relates to money or power.

What a nasty remark. At least Menendez, who’s a liberal Dem politician like any other, and certainly as corrupt as they all are, isn’t a Muslim trying to sell our country out to Iran.

I'm trying to figure out the end game here. Obama wants to set up Islam as the dominate world power of that there can be no doubt. But which Muslim sect? He's trying hard to help Iran get the bomb (Shiite) yet opposed Assad (Alawaite Shia ally) in favor of the rebels (Sunni) and the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt (Sunni). If he leans towards the Sunni as I suspect then why help the heretic Shia get the bomb? What is it that's not visible?

Read yesterday that the halfrican said he was going to crush dems that went against him.

I believe back when FDR was trying to load the Court, Congress en-mass turned against him, with a number of veto proof Bills.

We may be seeing the same thing coming. Reid and peelouisi are pretty much muzzled, so they can no longer do the halfrican’s bidding.

No one says much when nobama denigrates GOPers, but he’s gone pretty darn delusional to think he can threaten all of Congress. Even the dems are finally getting a craw full.

But I thought these politicians were elected to represent their constituents.

When I worked for a union they called taxpayers “special interests groups”. I would ask them why they didn’t consider themselves the same, but I never got an answer.

Menendez is anti-Second Amendment and a liberal, but he treats his constituency with respect and his staff always try to be helpful. Although I disagree with the man in most cases politically, I personally have a lot of respect for him. I hate Obama the politician and Obama the individual. He is a thoroughly evil man.

The biggest problem here is that Obama is right, even if Menendez is right. As a long-time New Jersey resident I can assure you that Bob Menendez is owned by lobbyists, and he doesn't take a stand on anything without orders from his employers (who are not the taxpayers of the U.S., mind you).

In this particular case, those opposed to Obama's Iran policy would have been better served if their position had a spokesman who wasn't as utterly corrupt and unprincipled as this bastard.

My advice is to grab the popcorn and just let these two @ssholes go at each other.

The Left does not tolerate dissent or disagreement. They will line up to destroy Menendez — not so much to defend or support obama who is nearing the end of his usefullness, but because apostasy must not be allowed to exist in a cult, especially a religious cult such as Leftism and the Democrat Party.

Time for someone to seriously interview the CIA Director on this topic and ask if the President is basing his statement regarding Iran’s nuclear program on his agency’s assessment.

why not just blow Iran off the face of the map. just leave it a sand desert. nothing for miles. that would end alot of the terrorism no money coming from Iran. It makes no sense that Europe gets its oil from Iran and gets its terrorists attacks funded by Iran too.. So in essence Europe is funding its own attacks.

The problem here is that the Briebart article is not accurate, so you don't really know what is going on.

The legislation originated in Dec 2013 and extended into 2014 before it died.

At that time the dems controlled the Senate and Menendez was chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Republican Mark Kirk was co-author but Menendez was the author and he brought it out of his committee. The Realists opposed the legislation and they were led by republican Corker.

But Reid(Senate Majority leader) would not let the legislation onto the floor of the Senate so it died.

So the GOP won the senate and McConnell(now Senate majority leaded) said he would let Menendez's bill onto the senate floor.

Except there is a problem, Corker is now chairman of the committee and still opposed to Menedez's bill so he wouldn't let it out of committee. Instead, Corker brought his own bill out of committee.

So to get around that, Menendez's bill was brought out of Republican Kirk's committee.

So it is now Republican Kirk's bill versus Republican Corker's bill.

And to make it more complicated, McCain and Graham have switched and now support Corker's bill.

McConnell is in a tight spot because he can go with either Kirk's bill, Corker's bill, or try to merge the two into one.

Whatever bill the end up passing, Obama will veto it so McConnell has to go with whatever has the beast chance of getting the 67 votes needed to override Obama's veto
