Obama Jets Off To Delhi As US and India Enter New Era of Goodwill US president to meet Indian prime minister Narendra Modi and attend the Republic Day parade, amid signs of growing diplomatic and cultural and warmth
Dan Roberts and Jason Burke Friday 23 January 2015
Official relations between the worlds two largest democracies have come a long way since the new Indian prime minister Narendra Modi was once banned from entering the United States because of concerns over his human rights record.
But when Barack Obama touches down in Delhi this weekend to celebrate the two countries burgeoning diplomatic love-in with anticipated deals on trade, climate change and defence, he is expected to acknowledge an entirely different factor driving these two giants closer together: the increasingly influential Indian American diaspora.

Are you really that stupid. I consider myself one of the greatest technical minds of my generation. I saw a young man I worked with, one of the greatest designers of his generation become a salesman (for Christ sake) after accomplishing a major contribution to a hypersonic system. I consider him worthy of history.
You are a legend in your own mind bwahahahaha!
And your solution is to import some H1b’s. yea, You’re a tool, admit it. I base my words on deeds not wishful thinking. What are you, some modern day slave traitor no doubt.
Obama should have taken the H1B home with him. Else, make arrangements for their repatriation to India as we sure do not need them here.
No, they are equally bad.
Yea, I watched some “Indians” getting their bachelor degrees for what we did in 5th grade shop class. I’m impressed, naught.
Duncan Hunter’s son is a congressman now. He is extremely angry about Obama releasing terrorist from Gitmo. I have not heard him speak about free/fair trade. My beloved husband was an engineer for disk drives and lasers. He would get a great job for a few years and then the job went to Singapore, China, Thailand. I would love to see long term jobs come back to America.
All H1B visa people work cheap, work hard, and benefit the American corporation which employs them. They are all tax payers. And they contribute to my social security and medicare. It is better the jobs be here than be sent to some call/service center in other countries. Get it shallow thinker?
What I don’t understand is why you’re not be bombarded by the Zot crowd.
Get a grip!
I'm no "greatest" technical guy (as you claim to be) but I've seen lots of true junk designed by your young genius non H1b engineers; stuff that had to be redesigned and built by people with hands on experience (and cost a bundle more that necessary in the process).
The original statement was that educated and legal immigrants are far more an asset than are illiterate border busters hawking minimal basic labor skills...only an idiot could deny that.
My example was of one of the greatest designers I’ve ever had the honor of working with. It wasn’t about me, though I was and am capable of walking the dog. The millennial crowd is a different story, the few I’ve worked with accept no mentors, much to their demise. Here you are griping about young American engineers and me I might add. If I had a chance to coach them, they wouldn’t be as worthless as you thought. That’s the problem right there. You can bet if you disrespected me in person on the job as you are here, I would have your job. I’m not the typical idiot you think you work with. You’re nothing more than a second guesser willing to sell out Americans for cheap foreign labor in my opinion.
I have to say Norton, why didn’t you step up and show them the way. Sounds like you’re about as unprofessional as they come. I always defined professionalism as cooperation first and foremost, all parties included.
And the GOP turns over and goes back to sleep
You deserve the Zot before me for calling me stupid in post #21 on this thread.
“Flood of H1B techies is 100 times better than uneducated illegals sucking at welfare trough”
I didn’t call you stupid, I ask if you were, big difference.
3 out of 4 Americans with a STEM degree do not hold a job in a STEM field according to the Census Bureau. I read that right here on Free Republic. I guess I’m back to my original response.
