As I understand it, Cruz meets the requirements. You don’t have to be born on US territory, if you are the child of a one parent who is a US citizen.

Which is why Marco Rubio doesn’t qualify. But after Obama, Ah-nold could run.

That gives you American citizenship, but does not address the “natural born” due to Ted’s daddy being from Cuba...as were both of Rubio’s parents, and then there’s Jindal with his parents on student visas from India when he was born here in America. So who cares any more about any of that? That ship has sailed. The Repubs never fought Obama on this issue even though McCain had to prove he was eligible. If I were Ahnald Schwarzenegger, I would fight this all the way to the Supreme Court to eliminate this discriminatory rule.

A citizen at birth is not the same as a natural born citizen. But hey, the pronoun word "citizen" is in there so it all must mean the same thing.
