FRISCO — With the EPA set to decide in May whether aircraft carbon pollution endangers public health or welfare, the battle over airline industry emissions in heating up.
This week, six major green groups called on the EPA and the Federal Aviation Administration to move quickly to set emission standards to curb greenhouse gas pollution from the nation’s aircraft fleet.
“The Obama administration needs to finally hold the airline industry accountable for its massive greenhouse gas emissions,” said Vera Pardee, a senior attorney with the Center’s Climate Law Institute. “The EPA has delayed action for years, and our climate is paying the price. It’s time for federal officials to give this rapidly growing source of planet-warming pollution the attention it requires.”
In 2010, the Center, Friends of the Earth, and other environmental organizations represented by Earthjustice sued to force EPA to set standards on greenhouse gas pollution from aircraft. A judge quickly ruled that the EPA is required to address aircraft emissions under the Clean Air Act. After further delay by the EPA, the groups threatened in 2014 to file a new lawsuit, which finally prompted the agency to launch the first step in its rulemaking process.

The EPA is the governmental arm of public and private environmental extremists. Any group so extreme they banned over-the-counter asthma inhalers needs to be dismantled and their workers forever banned from gov’t employment. Their primary goal is no longer protecting the environment.... it is the destruction of capitalism.
Why wait till May? We already know their answer.
chemtrails are not the same thing as airplane fuel exhaust.
All the EPA has to do is to build big corks and require them to be inserted into the aft end of every jet engine. If the plane can take off without ejecting the cork, then it is permitted to fly as a zero-exhaust & polluting aircraft. Small corks can be designed to go into the end of automobile and truck exhaust pipes.
Google “emissions, ambulance” and see how many ambulances shut down during emergency calls because of full particulate filters. How wonderful that will be for an aircraft.
