Bunk, it is a brain altering drug with negative effects for regular users. I still remember my mom working prison ministry and finding all the violent offenders were pretty much always major pot users.

One day after arguing with a pot head about the probabilities of pot causing a "psychotic break" I decided to see if I could find out how many famous serial killers used pot.

The results? Pretty much all of them. I actually can't think of one that didn't. Dahmer, Gacy, Bundy, Berkowitz, Ridgeway, Manson, and so on.

Looks like that "Reefer Madness" argument was not so far off as people have been led to believe.
