The new, freewheeling Senate of Majority Leader Mitch McConnell presided over an agitated debate on the Keystone XL pipeline that churned into Fridays wee hours and ended with aggrieved Democrats crying Koch.
Around midnight, a seemingly endless series of amendment votes and quorum calls shifted as McConnell moved to end debate on a bill that would yank President Barack Obamas authority over the proposed oil pipeline after quickly disposing of five Democratic amendments.

. Blindsided Democrats accused the Kentucky Republican of shutting down a Senate that he had promised to run in a more open way than their own leaders did. They also wondered aloud if Republicans were trying to wrap up all Keystone business to accommodate a conference scheduled for this weekend in Palm Springs, Calif., thats affiliated with the billionaire conservatives Charles and David Koch.

You mean like the manner in which Democrats passed Obamacare? Further proof that if the Dems didn’t have a double standard they’d have no standards at all.
Wait until the “Tyranny of the Majority” crap starts up again. They played that fiddle during the Bush years when they had little power - as if the Democrats never ran roughshod over Republicans and shut down their amendments and limited their debates when they had control.
Crybabies.
It's called 'turn about is fair play'.
If the Democrats are going to cry Koch, the Republicans should cry Buffet. Warren Buffet is the number one profiteer from railroad’s government-enhanced hold on oil transportation. The next time an oil train crashes, Buffet and his Democrat enablers should be hoisted on a spit over the flames.
The energy producing states should form an energy consortium and build the pipeline.
The problem is not funding the pipeline, it’s that the Fed’s have jurisdiction over the international border. That the State Department has to approve it. That’s where the chokepoint is.
There have been more amendments voted on in the first few days of this Senate than all of last year.
Of course, the legacy media refuses to call out the Democrats on their total hypocrisy.
