This has to be one of the worst reported stories I’ve seen in a while.
7 people were charged in this crime spree and all of them got prison with the least of them getting 12 years. 4 people were killed and I still haven’t been able to figure out who the 4th victim was.
You’re right - another good point. Some editor at the Washington Times is going to be called on the carpet on this one...
Wanna Bet? I have noticed that sentences imposed by the trial court are modified by prison authorities, government executives, appellate courts etc. etc. Our society favors its criminal element.
Nobody is going to “modify” away 300 years of a sentence. Believing otherwise is pure hyperbole.
I’ve got a cousin in prison at Marquette for murder. He was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison. He’s been there 15 years now and won’t even be considered for parole for another 5 years and that’s including his “good time”.
