There can be no question but that Boehner and his minions are moral cowards, compromised by the blackmailing Obama administration. These so called leaders do not represent the great swath of American voters. They, too, must be impeached or recalled.

‘This level of incompetence and cowardice should alarm us all.’

It’s the Boehner way. He’s been doing the exact same thing for years. That’s why we clamored for a change in leadership. The DC phone lines melted down. & the Republican politicians gave us the middle finger.

The same thing will keep on happening until a few high profile figures, such as Boehner, lose their primaries. Cantor was a good start. We need several more, before we’ll have their undivided attention. [If there’s anything left to salvage by then.]

What "test" have they passed, would be more to the point. They've failed every test of conservatism they've faced so far, as the majority.

It’s not incompetence; it’s being done on purpose.

If the Republicans pass the law, it's 100% guaranteed that Obama would veto it, and the Republicans would not be able to override it. So - there is ZERO chance for the law to be passed while the Democrats hold the WH.

So, would passing the law, and having Obama veto it, make it more, or less likely that the law eventually is passed?

The answer is less.

In order for the Republicans to pass the law they need to hold onto both houses of Congress, and win the WH. The best way to do that is to lower the Democratic turnout in 2016. How do you do that? One way is make Obama irrelevant, and you don't do that by allowing him to veto bills the left is adamantly against - we need those people not to show up in 2016.

The left gets people to show up using social issues, the right by fiscal issues. We do not want the low information voters on the left to view Obama as the defender of their rights. We need them to see Obama as not doing much for them. That way they will be much less likely to show up in 2016.

The Republicans are not going to be able to pass any 'conservative' legislation while Obama is in the WH, he's comping at the bit to veto that type of legislation. The Republicans need to stay focused on fiscal/jobs legislation, let him try to veto that. That way they can win the WH in 2016, and pass their social issues.
