This article has some great one-liners in it!
“Its easier for the left to vent its anger on American Sniper than to deal with its own irrelevance.
It doesnt confront the left; instead it acts as if the left isnt there.
The left spends most of its time living in its own bubble and is shocked when events remind it that the rest of the country does not really share its opinions and tastes.”
Hollyweird keeps trying to push these anti-war movies on the public and they keep bombing.
Then a movie of a true American hero comes out. They are all against it with their liberal commie hollywierd mouths belittling our hero and it is a blockbuster success.
Every.Time.
The market always dictates what is a success no matter how much of a hissy these elite idiots pitch.
Indeed. Look at the box office receipts of G and PG films, and it will be obvious to anyone that if hollyweird was less interested in promoting an agenda, and polluting our culture, that there would be a heck of a lot more of them.
When they say they are just making movies the people want, they are lying.
Geez Laz. Don't hold back.
freepmail for you
Considering the movie has taken in close to $150 million to date, on a $58 million budget, then I imagine the corporate powers-that-be in Hollywood are taking a much friendlier view towards the film. Especially Warner Brothers.
Whew. Nailed it.
yeah he’s now hollywood pariah
too bad he makes movies for low costs studios like that. Business will top the idiocy.
The sounds of gunfire and explosions can also be "triggers" for many. If one must see it, best to view it in the privacy of one's home with one or two supportive friends around and no alcohol, etc.
I have always, always loved Michael Keaton and missed him when he was gone.
I WILL see "American Sniper" in the theater.
Time to get some new material, Hollywood. Or start shutting down your lie factories.
The left fancies themselves as leaders and opinion makers, the "avant-garde". The hundreds of millions of dollars that they waste on anti-war movies are considered investments in the future. The movies about marital infidelity, same sex and other debaucheries are also efforts at conditioning society toward their enlightened nirvana.
I respectfully disagree. It is because they are primarily evil and God frowns on them. They are friends of the devil!
***and their scripts and their screenplays echoed and reinforced the Stalinist messages.***
This is true. Anyone who doubts this should watch these pro-commie movies.
THE NORTH STAR (1943)
MISSION TO MOSCOW (1943)
DAYS OF GLORY (1944)
Lots of killing Nazis, lots of action, lots of commie propaganda. It is hard to believe these films came out of HOLLYWOOD and not MOSFILM.
bingo
That is true of virtually every article Daniel Greenfield writes, and he publishes something just about every day. Greenfield's writings have lots of fans on FR. The pinglist for his articles is run by freeper "Louis Foxwell".
I should clarify that the Daniel Greenfield pings are about twice a week: one for his main blog article, and another “round-up” of shorter pieces that Louis Foxwell takes the time and effort to assemble so we won’t be overwhelmed.
But will AMERICAN SNIPER make up Warner Bro’s losses for 47 RONIN?
I heard Selma wasn’t actually very well done. Yes it attempts to tell a story of a dramatic time in our history. But not done too well. I havent seen it just word of mouth.
And then based on that, it makes you wonder if it got an Oscar nomination for best picture only because of the subject matter, only due to political correctness.
It will be interesting to see on Oscar night. With this full court press by liberals against American Sniper I would be shocked to see it win best picture or other Oscars it has been nominated for.
Eastwood will not win. Not after his obama empty chair bit at the convention.
no script either.
A long time ago a freeper took a photo of a billboard outside Quantico when the war first began. It said “You’re either with us or from Hollywood”.
That about says it.
