Thank you Albion for the clarification. For the last several weeks Daniel has not posted the Friday Roundup and has had one blog at Knish weekly. I am considering posting his Frontpage articles to the blog list. Any comments?
Ronald Reagan Hollywood commie bump
Look at Duck Dynasty’s success.
No ludeness
No naked drunken partying teenagers
No pregnant foul-mouthed 16 year olds
No sexual perversion
No homosexual glorification
A show about a God fearing family that never even so much as had a ‘bleep’ for one foul language remark in the 4 years its been running. A show where the entire family prays together at the dinner table at the end of every episode= The most popular show on cable.
Hollywood scratching their heads... “How is this possible?”
I know if it was not for the bad dreams my brother inlaw would love the movie it has been over 25 years since he was in the army. it is my sister that wont allow him to watch them because of him having a bad dream and accidentally awaking in fight mode with her in the bed. he once attacked her while asleep when they first got married. he is very ashamed of that the guy is best described as a gentle giant.
At the rate it's going it may well make up for a lot of Warner Brother mistakes.
*I thought it was so stupid, that this narrative developed that it was racist to go see American Sniper instead of Selma.*
Oh shoot is that where it ended up. You are right they think differently, racist to choose to watch AS instead of the Oprah(puke)movie Selma.
That is a stretch that is just too far for me!
Don't hold back Laz - tell us how you really feel...
:)
Todays black ‘cause’ has turned into a corrupt pity party for criminals and lowlifes. Being ‘burned out’ on it is a good sign - - means you’re an intelligent adult with a firm grasp of reality.
I buy DVDs at the pawn shop. Hollywood makes not a cent. With the exception of good war movies. Those I buy hot off the shelf on the day of release.
You should see this in the theatre just to piss off moby moore.
I’m considering it.
I appreciate the analysis, but...
Explain to me what the hell difference any of it makes anyway.
In a country as hopelessly polarized and split between “blue” and “red” factions, Redsters such as myself pay absolutely no attention whatsoever to the Leftist propaganda.
Greenfield is stuck in the “we can change them” paradigme. You can’t change leftists thinking; its entirely alien. When they occasionally try to engage me in conversation, I just smirk and walk away and add them to my enemy list.
Grow a pair!
Have you seen it, yet? I went Tuesday evening.
She's looking out for him. I heard of it happening as well when husbands got home from Vietnam.
No; I saw Unbroken, but was not sure I could stand up to watching this film. Based on this brouhaha, however, I might make the attempt. What did you think of it, ELS?
There are now a lot of people who were involved in both Iraq and Afghanistan wars who will be wanting to tell their stories and share their experiences.
We should listen to all veterans who were actually there. They will not all have the same take on things, but why should they? They are all different people.
My fear is that there will be a backlash to the backlash and that people will not listen to the experiences of veterans who came away from the wars with a different perspective than what some want to hear.
I really enjoyed the movie and would recommend it.
Will bear that in mind!
How are you, ELS? Well, I hope!
Showing last
Part to my wife
