January 21, 2015 President Obama warned Congress Tuesday night that he would veto any new sanctions legislation on Iran, saying it would derail U.S. negotiations in the Middle East. But John Boehner isn't ready to sit out the battle over Iran's nuclear program.

However, this isn't the first time a House speaker has reached out to a world leader despite a White House request to stay back. In April 2007, then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi traveled to Syria to meet with President Bashar al-Assad despite the Bush administration's objections.
Obama is such an unlikable, petulant pud. I am glad Boehner did this.
I remember Nancy doing that. I saw her photographed wearing a hijab, with hair all covered up. She delighted in working against the Bush administration. Boehner better not walk this back or it will be the Chicken’s cowardly buck, buck buck heard around the civilized world. America too.
I dislike that woman....
Feels strange to write that, but for once Boehner deserves it.

It’s about time someone did something Obama does not like.
I give a week b/f cheeto boner caves and begins his next kabuki theater perfomance on something else.
I look forward to hearing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speak before a joint session of Congress and against Obama’s actions on Iran!
All these ePub pols who cave to political pressure seem to forget that history has a way of revealing things and caving to avoid now does not mean they will save face later down the line or even after they die. Then again, most refuse to see past the end of their nose, period.
+1
When Netanyahu addresses the US Congress next month, he’ll join Winston Churchill as the only other world leader to address it 3 times.
I’m delighted Boehner just showed Obama that they too can bypass him! ......
But being the Narcissit BO is he’s going to make them pay for this one. Not that they care now as Obama made it clear in his SOTU he’s not interested in what they want. ....but he’ll attempt to save face.
Looks like both Congress and Bo’s administration are taking the gloves off....somewhat...it’s time.
Good for them! ... :-) ...
I’m waiting for Kerry to deny Bibi a visa. LOL
So boehner gets an Atta-boy; in the Army we had a saying “One Awe Sh!t wipes out Ten Atta-boys”... when it comes to leadership it is consistency that matters, one step in the right direction does not a leader make.
One thing is certain about Rino’s IMO; they cannot be trusted ever; whatever the agenda in this move by boehner; it will no doubt become evident somewhere down the road, I strongly suspect it will somehow, in someway, turn out to be nefarious.
I have no idea what the viewership was for the SOTU but I’m willing to bet Bibi will beat it.
Feel the same way.
It’s like wanting to eat your brussels sprouts for once.
Praying for Bibi’s safety.
