I am seeing things that would have in the past been sold on Ebay now being sold on Etsy and Ruby Lane.

I tried Etsy but didn't like it much, too much like ebay.

Ruby Lane is a wonderful site for Antique Dealers. Extremely fair pricing and they let you run your business without any bullying crap like ebay.

Wish I could find an auction site that would be good for CDs, still have another 105,000 to sell.

I prefer just paying for the asking price then to go through the bidding process and lose the item at the last minute.
I have found items cheaper on Etsy and Ruby Lane than a similar item on Ebay without having to do all that bidding.
I collect antiques- especially antique dolls. if you know of any other sites like that- please let me know.

Etsy is great for finding hand made or one-of-a kind items. But there too you can run into problems with quality control. Not many people want to buy stuff made by amateurs in their spare time. Some of it is great, don’t get me wrong. I like Etsy. I had a custom product made for me from an Etsy vendor. But like Ebay perception is a hard thing to overcome. Etsy lets the site fill up with all kinds of surplus and “wholesale quantities at retail prices” sellers, it loses its charm. Exact same problem Ebay has, all imho of course.
