——the true “hoax” is that climate change is the result of human activity——

only a damned fool or a total ignoramus would deny that there is climate change

climate is continuously variable thus ever changing

man is not a factor

Seasons are not “climate change”. So, we’re not talking about Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter, when talking about Climate Change.

And then, Climate Change is not restricted to some long cycles, even if we’re talking about a cycle that has a period of a thousand years or more. Some of climate change may relate to some long term cyclical patterns, over decades or hundreds of years ... but other climate changes are catastrophic and not cyclical ... an example would be massive volcanic activity, and that’s not necessarily cyclical. Another would be large meteor strikes upon the earth. Those are random and not cyclical.

Then you have the worldwide flood which produced the biggest climate change of all time, and drastically affected the (i.e., “climate change”) and was a “one-time event” never to be repeated again.

Climate change can come from catastrophic events, one-time events, some from cycles and then a variety of random causes ... thereby yielding no pattern at all to “climate change”.

Everyone can now look forward to CNN, MSNBC, FOX, ABC, NBC, and CBS signing off every broadcast about Climate Change reminding their viewers that the U.S. Senate has voted unanimously that the science of climate change is real.

Smart move guys. Real sharp.

I believe that global warming is real! In 6 months the temperature where I live in Maryland will be 50-60° warmer than it is right now!

Global Warming is definitely real, which is why “Greenland” was called “green” before, allowing the Vikings to live there. That’s why we had the Medieval Warm Period, a period of Global Warming exceeding our time. And then prior to that, another period of Global Warming far exceeding the Medieval Warm Period and our current period.

Global Warming is quite real ... it’s the politicized science of “Anthropogenic Global Warming” that is the hoax!

It isn't clear that volcanoes erupt randomly, or that meteors strike randomly, rather than on a cycle.

I do agree that the world wide flood was climate change. We will have real climate change again when Christ returns.

God is not the author of confusion. The creation operates rationally and systematically. Climate isn't anymore random than weather except when God acts to make a change.

The Senate on Wednesday passed a measure stating that "climate change is real and is not a hoax" by a margin of 98-1.

Excellent. Climate change is NOT a hoax.

Man having anything to do with the climate changing is the hoax.

I think it’s random (when you mention volcanoes and meteors) because if there is a cycle (and I’m not saying there is or is not) it’s far too complex for us to make it out ... thereby making it from our viewpoint “random”.

There is “cause and effect” in the universe, as I do believe God made it that way (except for divine interventions, of which there have been several) ... but the variables involved in this cause and effect, which would yield a “pattern” (if we knew them) are simply far far too complex for us to ever know.

SO ... we’re just left with the speculative and philosophical argument that it is cyclical (or not) ... if only we “knew it all” as God does ... :-) ...

I agree. I know that they will try to “parse” it as not meaning man-made climate change, but all they have done is to give ammunition to the left, as they always mean “man-made” when they say “climate change”.

The first amendment, which failed 59-40, was introduced by Sen John Hoeven (R-ND), and states: "Climate change is real; and human activity contributes to climate change." It also agrees with the State Department study which "suggest that significant impacts to most resources are not expected along the proposed Project route" for the Keystone pipeline.

The second amendment, which failed 50-49, went one step further and stated "climate change is real (and) human activity significantly contributes to climate change." The inclusion of "significantly," as well as the exclusion of the language reaffirming that the Keystone XL pipeline will not have a significant impact on the proposed route resulted in only five Republicans supporting it, instead of the 15 that supported the Hoeven amendment.

The "hoax" language, attached to a bill to authorize the Keystone XL pipeline, was a resolution introduced by Democrat Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island.

The amendment was expected to fail, but Republicans parsed the words of the amendment, arguing they could vote for it but at the same time believe that climate change was not man-made.

The left will be able to say “everyone agrees climate change is real. Now what are we going to do about it?”

And by “what are we going to do about it” they mean “how many dollars can we suck out of the American worker.”

The climate has been changing for 4 billion years. As long as Earth has been here, the climate has continuously changed. It will continue to change after man is long gone. We are just brief observers.

Climate change is not a hoax. Cruz is right. Climate change is something that no one can dispute; it’s been verified throughout earth’s history!
