Seems to be the latest "craze" with the anti-constitutionalists these days. Bills in AZ, initiative in NV for '16, already passed but proving to be unworkable in WA I-594. Maybe my funk and wagnells definition of "infringe" reads different from their dictionary.

We thought the petition had no chance in NV either. Now with ex Mrs. Wynn on the committee and the former pres of facebook ponying up $250K for the push, I see it’s gonna be a hard fought battle. Or not. If the pro-gun orgs choose to back candidates again and not counter these kinds of infringements, the one in NV will pass and go into effect 1/1/17. Of course it won’t make any difference to the bad guys in any case. But, hey. If at least one child is saved.

My Rep in the Legislature is the Speaker of the House and a staunch 2nd Amendment supporter. These bills are going nowhere.

Arizona lawmaker moves to end private gun sales without background checks Good luck with that, Arizona.
They will have an army of cops out there "selling" firearms, trying to sting someone.

Sponsor is newly erected Dem Rep from LD9, Tucson area. I agree these are going nowhere; but that won’t keep me from sending a quick e-mail to Dave Gowan to make sure.

This is nothing more than backdoor gun registration. They want to know where to go when they decide to start rounding up guns and gun-owners.

“Sponsor is newly erected Dem Rep from LD9, Tucson area.”
Tucson is Arizona’s dump! I have a retired friend who lives north of Tucson who tells me he tries never to have to go into Tucson proper and when he does, he “carries.”

The law’s chances depend on what provocations they stage manage. There is no line the far left would not cross to grab power, including staging a school shooting just before a critical vote. These people are pure evil, and we cannot get complacent about anything on their agenda.

The legislature should be offering bills to require background checks for those who write “letter to the editor” and for those who have a by-line in a newspaper and those who do interviews on television. How is it that the radicals believe the 2A is the only “right” for which one needs to qualify?

This isn’t a petition. It is for the legislature and they won’t even hear it.

I hope they don’t but if I remember correctly, and I could be wrong, that there is an initiative process in AZ. Maybe I’ll have to go look again.
True majority rule by IPOS.

Yes, that could happen, but this is proposed legislation, not an initiative.
