We're setting up and getting ready as Congressman Curt Clawson puts the final touches on his speech for tonight as he prepares to deliver the 5th Annual Tea Party Response immediately following the President's State of the Union Address and the Republican response.
We're excited to present to you the man who was our first Tea Party victory of the 2014 election cycle! He's already causing a stir on the Hill today and garnering some great media coverage. But it's not so much the man as it is the message. Congressman Clawson is carrying the message you have been fighting for from day one.
He's geared up and ready to confront the President's remarks this evening with some hard-hitting Tea Party truths. WE can not tax more and over spend our way to gain prosperity. It just won't happen.

I looked into the backgrounds of the Tea Party Express board a few years ago, and they were mostly Old Reaganauts, recall organizers trying to reverse Californication, a professional fundraiser who worked Republican campaigns, and some other Tom McClintock supporters. The group had another name then ("California Deserves Better"), but they were essentially the same then as now. They were disappointed by the GOP-e countermove, and of course by the outcomes of "Gov. Shriver's" administration. Cautionary note: They do not totally overlap the Tea Party movement on the issues. I think they favor legalizing the illegals, based on some things I've read.
The reply speech was decent and very Reaganesque in its themes, if delivered by a much younger congressman not nearly as adept in public speaking. But he did a very good job as it was, and highlighted a number of key policy areas where the Tea Party clearly has better answers to e. g. unemployment than the disingenuous crap and phonied-up numbers coming out of the Regime. He kept it simple, Didn't get bogged down in vituperating against Obama's cluster**** of a Regime or Obama's legitimacy issues; he sounded like he'd internalized Karl Rove's political "Price Is Right" triangulation technique, frankly.
But like everyone else, she did NOT mention Islamic terrorism, just terrorism.
She all in all did an admirable job compared to what a real GOP-e would have said.
Pretty smart of them to use a new Senator with some Tea Party/Conservative creds who would read the speech they wrote for her.
They will milk that for all it’s worth.
