Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee—who’s mulling another run for president—says his potential rival, Jeb Bush, is a lot more conservative than people think—even further to the right than his brother, George W. Bush.
Asked Tuesday on The Steve Malzberg Show on Newsmax TV whether the former Florida governor was a true conservative, Huckabee said: “Jeb will have a lot of issues that he’ll make front and center. He was an excellent governor of Florida. He was a very conservative governor of Florida. We’ve served contemporaneously during the late ’90s and early part of 2000. So when people say, well, ‘Jeb Bush is not a conservative’, his whole record says that he was.”
So conservative in fact, that “ideologically, he’s probably more conservative than his brother” George W. Bush, Huckabee said. …

It has been my experience that persons that scream the loudest against a perceived “nannystater” or those that need a nannystate to keep them in line because of their libertine (AKA libertarian)& anarchist behavior.

I am a FULLY and FOCUSED social/moral conservative. That candidate which best represents my beliefs and values is going to get my vote and support. Currently Governor Huckabee is the person - on those issues - which best does. Senator Cruz is next in line.

PS - as a focused social/moral conservative I cannot abide libertines (AKA libertarians). IMO they are a Godless group of anarchists trying to hide this in the name of “freedom.” Some behaviors NEED to be suppressed by force of law (like drugs, prostitution, etc.). IF that makes me a “nanny stater” then I will gladly own the title.
