Average American drives about 200 miles per week. At 20mpg and 2 buck savings that is about 20 bucks per week. At 30mpg about 13 bucks per week. Throw in a few hundred for heating and cooling. The notion that manufacturers are going to pass on their savings is naive.
Yes I mentioned 500 miles/week just because some people are stuck with that kind of travel.
It’s not as though a guy won’t have some extra pocket money.
But as you point out it doesn’t usually add up to a whole lot.
Which is why we have never seen good economic growth when oil crashes. At best its a wash and at worst it may cut into growth a bit. And it will go back up as sure as Obama is a lying commie.
