Sharpton and the black Oscar 'snub'

So in 2015 it has come down to neo-Leninists and Al Sharpton stirring the caldron of victimology by convincing gullible blacks that Hollywood is racist because no blacks were nominated for an Academy Award this year.

If black people were fish and self-inflicted victimology and immiseration were fat juicy night crawlers, Sharpton and the neo-Leninist racists would rule the lakes and streams.

Can a group of people be so collectively mindless, so easily led through the nose, as to behave like windup robots?

So what if none of the nominees are black. Are we now going to see affirmative action movies? Are we going to see Obama use executive orders to mandate that for every white nominee there must be two black nominees? Are we going to see Sharpton demand that there must be a special afri-movie category? Is he going to demand special awards for blacks? Are we on the cusp of the “outstanding black whatever” awards? And may I add, there would no doubt be dissension if more light-skin black actors won than dark-skin black actors.

Mychal, you rock. Maybe during the droning tonight, it will be mandated that we all must watch, '12 years a slave', 'selma', 'do the right thing' and sit through the whole made up 'roots' series to prove we're not racist.

There have been a lot of these black guilt movies in recent years. Selma, 12 Years a Slave, The Butler come to mind. Is it really racist if they don’t win Academy Awards? I just don’t follow this. I’m sure all of us could make a long list of great movies we enjoy which never got Oscar nominations or won Oscars.

This whole thing is a made up controversy so that Al Sharpton can make a political statement.

I believe one major reason for this black racist uprising is to ensure that the Academy Award for Best Picture is awarded to “Selma” as a sop to the racists.

In effect the award for Best Picture will be stolen from “American Sniper” and will become the “Affirmative Action Award”, given to “Selma” to shut the blacks up and assuage white guilt in Hollywood.

What they have done is they have tainted all future black nominees with the brush of Affirmative Action and denigrated all future black artists and technicians as inferior and needing to be artificially elevated so that Negroes can feel good about themselves. They have, indeed, now affected the nomination process so that future nominators will feel they are voting for blacks in that affirmative action mode while telling themselves that the Negro nominees Really Are Good even if they are black.

Yep we have to kowtow to pressure groups tto prove we aren’t racist.

I remember there as some consternation the year Broke back Mountain was nominated for best picture. But it lost out to Crash. Some homosexual activists complained that Oscar voters didn’t vote for Brokeback due to the subject matter and that’s why it lost out.

I will never know if Brokeback was any good since I will never plan to see that moviem. Simply have no interest in this cowboy romance as they called it. Not that type of cowboy love story.
