Why do I take this gaggle of smoke blowing chanting hippies seriously?

If they take their road show to Nigeria and do their Song & Dance with Boko Haram vs Christian villagers, then I'll listen to them.

BTW, what was it that gave it away that they were a "gaggle of smoke blowing chanting hippies", their being described as "activists, artists, musicians and journalists"?
