It seems to me that considering only black candidates to be president of a traditionally black university is more justifiable (especially if the current student body is still overwhelmingly black) than having the head of the Department of Justice selected on the basis of race.

Of course it may be time to rename the Department of Justice the Department of Retribution. Payback time for the years of slavery and Jim Crow laws.

Seems to me that the proper approach to filling ANY job vacancy is to try to find and hire the MOST qualified candidate, regardless of race, etc. The age of the so-called “traditionally black” university is in the past. They provided a solution to a racial problem that no longer exists. Any “payback” that occurs now is being made to the wrong people.
