I salt my food to taste... and I could care less if liberals don’t like the fact I hate bland food.
I usually include a little meat with my salt.
Niteowl77 and I frequent an establishment that always provides a big plate full o' fries - good ones - with their sandwiches, and for the last year or so, when we get our food, one or the other of us puts more salt on those fries and says, "Take THAT, Michelle Obama!"

I ate with colleagues at a trendy Studio City bistro when the chef took issue with my wanting to salt “his” food. I insisted that as I was paying for it, it was mine. They gave me a saltshaker with some snide looks, and they were tipped accordingly.
We heard in theater that when Saddam Hussein was captured, they “tortured” him by serving him bland food & withholding salt until he told them where the WMDs were. Rumor had it that Saddam broke down & started singing when someone waved an open bag of Doritos in front of his face.
I’ve learned to smuggle my own salt for the occasional hospital stay where I always get put on `low sodium’ & the food is pretty awful without it.
