If the next US president is a conservative, his first order of business should be to close the door to the vast majority of Islamic immigration.
Next is to create a CIA program designed to locate and exterminate all radical agitators in the western world, other than the US. In the US, a different agency would do the same thing, if sometimes less lethally.
This should be entirely covert, not involving the governments of those western nations. And hopefully, for the actions to both have “plausible deniability”, and to “make it look like an accident”.
Hopefully, by the time he leaves office, the program would be entirely divorced from the government and self sustaining. The concept being to perpetually cull the most radical leaders from Islam. Something like natural selection to make them a far less violent philosophy.
The program could work for radical communists as well.
Unfortunately, it may be conservative Christians that the progressives go after

Cutting off Immigration from Islamic countries is goal number 1.
Christian and Jewish refugees excepted.
Imported oil and reluctance to offend Saudi Arabia drove us to accept mass immigration from the Middle East.
US oil production now makes that irrelevant.
If they complain, we can always make a deal: as many can come here as move there.
Should keep it to about 100 people a year. We can handle that.
