As I understand it, these yahoos cemented themselves in place, to make removal difficult. The best Idea I heard was to bring in forklifts and shift them to the side of the road so cars could pass by. Then let them figure out a way not to die of exposure.
Although you have to know, mommy and daddy would have sued every city department involved for the mistreatment of their little darlings.
It doesn't take much courage to chain yourself to a concrete barrier and block traffic on an interstate highway when you know that: (1) motorists are going to stop, and (2) someone is going to come and remove you unharmed from your self-imposed predicament.
At least Rastafarian-looking dude came out in the cold (wearing shorts, LOL) to talk to the reporter. Unfortunately, he pretty much confirmed the suspicion that any objective observer would have about who and what these people are: he's a 28 year-old guy who lives in his father's house, refuses to describe what he does for a living (or if he's a student), and probably couldn't be gainfully employed outside some useless industry like academia or entertainment.
Or bring in the fire department and turn the fire hoses on them until they loosed themselves.
