Just copy the arabic script and paste it in google search online then write 'meaning' then click enter. That's what i did & you get options for translation you can look up & further descriptions. Here is one website http://www.almaany.com/en/dict/ar-en/حورية/ About etymology, i came across one website that explained in more detail. Am on mobile at moment so need to search for it later. Do you read arabic script?

Check out these sites and explore external links from each site - the idea or translation of “raisins/white grapes” seems to be mostly based on Christoph Luxenberg’s assertion that the word Hur or Hoor which appears in the Koran (Quran) is Syro-Aramaic in origins and not Arabic or classical Arabic: http://houri.askdefinebeta.com/ (this one is a good link for etymology, I think) — http://www.theguardian.com/books/2002/jan/12/books.guardianreview5http://www.newworldencyclopedia.org/entry/Houri#cite_note-0http://wikiislam.net/wiki/72_Virgins#cite_note-Sura78_33-20
