Sorry about your hair. It’s like a visual reminder of what’s happening.

Winter is not an easy time to lose hair, but hats work wonders. I’ve seen some very soft, warm pretty hats lately that were sported by those with and without hair. This site has some great styles and fabrics:

I don’t care about my hair. I have been assured that it will grow
back, and I do not mind in the slightest going around bald.

And once my head is shaved, I can wear all my lovely winter
hats, of which I have a nice selection. After April 15, there will
be no more of the two nasty drugs that kill cancer cells and other
fast growing cells like hair follicles. My hair will start coming
back once I have rinsed all the nasty chemo drugs out of my
system with the huge amounts of water that I am supposed to
drink every day. Sixty-four ounces, and sometimes I exceed
even that.

Wednesday is my next (second) chemo session. I should be
bald by then, having contributed my hair to the salon.

Trust me. I do not need any more hats. I have a little (well, not
really so little) cedar chest full of winter hats, gloves, and scarves.

Thanks for the link (Bryan might hate you if I go nuts buying hats).

I may want to add to my collection... ;-)

Hats? That’s another story. I have lots and lots of hats.

Hats ain't bad TOL, that's how I been solving my little follicly challenging male pattern baldness problem for 35 years, LOL.

Stetson on: "That old coot needs a haircut".
Stetson off: "That old coot is bald".

Stetsons rule :)

Seriously, that's not important, you continuing to get well is what counts.

So your hair will begin growing back with the spring? By mid-summer you will have a nice cap of new hair, and by September, perhaps a short bob. Can you take vitamins? I’ve recently started taking Biotin. It’s supposed to help with hair health and growth.

I’m “just” vain enough that it would drive me bats.

You’re not an old coot!

And thank you, my dear friend. I am getting better,
and by December 9, this will all be over and done.

Yes. I just got permission from my doctors to start taking my
vitamins again, and I take a LOT of them. They make me feel
better already. The weird pains in my right arm are going away,
and a few other bothersome things have disappeared after only
three days.

The metal port and catheter were really driving me batty, but
the pain from them seems to be fading away as well.

Yeah, except I cry like a baby when one of my cats passes away.

I had very, very short hair for a couple of years back in the day. It was very cool, in every way. :)
I found that I loved the freedom and the chance to wear a variety of hats. It takes no time at all to shower, too.
