After a market assessment it was clear a used bookstore wouldn’t have any appeal.
I suppose if buyers can overcome the ick factor of wearing someone else’s shoes it will take off.

Well, a guy in Chicago once threatened to take my sneakers from me, and they were pretty well worn. I just kept moving and he decided not to act on his threat. They were also the best pair of sneakers I ever had, a $35 pair of Walt "Clyde" Frazier Pumas in black with a red stripe, great for wide feet. This was during the Michael Jordan era in Chicago, and by coincidence, I matched Bulls colors.

I suppose if buyers can overcome the ick factor of wearing someone elses shoes it will take off. This is VERY common in the black community. Entire clothing lines are dedicated to buy-wear-return. If you notice, blacks or members of the black community in popular culture wear clothes with tags and labels all over them. This is so that they can return them to the store and get something else. It's sort of like "leasing" clothes.
I also predict this store will be robbed within 6 months. Just saying.

The foot ware industry is currently writing legislation to protect the public form the ill effects of underground foot ware trade. Republicans will move this forward soon, because it could lead to a constitutional crisis! /s
